Introducing your co-founders, Sally Muntz & Jacinta Pasco.
Sally & Jacinta collectively have 30 years experience in the dance industry and share a deep passion for nurturing the next generation of dancers in the jazz, lyrical, contemporary space. They are excited for this company to evolve and provide opportunities for dancers to produce high calibre performances and experience the industry’s creative processes, all whilst being loved, supported and mentored.
Sally & Jacinta’s heart is to be able to support young dancers beyond these shows and into the industry, understanding the hard work it takes, but more importantly, their worth and value as the beautiful, unique individuals they are. BYDC can’t wait to showcase all the dance talent Brisbane + beyond has to offer.
Jacinta Pasco
Jacinta Pasco’s foundations as a professional dancer are rooted in contemporary, having completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) at QUT as an elite scholarship recipient. During this time she was the head choreographer/featured dancer for major Christmas productions with audiences of 2000+ people. She then went on to train and perform at the world-renowned Broadway Dance Centre NYC in their professional semester program. She worked daily with the industries top dancers and choreographers, and performed in off Broadway showcases and was an assist/dance captain for Broadway choreographers such as Marc Kimelman and Matthew Steffens.
Since returning to Australia, she is working professionally across the Musical Theatre and Contemporary industry, continuing to share her depth of experience with elite, full time and competition students all across Melbourne and Brisbane. Most recently, she was a pro dancer for LOcREaDO Dance Company’s original contemporary work “ONE”, which debuted in Brisbane 2024.
Currently she is on faculty at QLD National Ballet School and Brisbane Dance Theatre for jazz, lyrical and contemporary, and has worked with Grin and Tonic Theatre Troupe as one of their professional teaching artists.
She frequently returns to NYC to expand her career opportunities and is now incredibly excited to be embarking on this new journey with BYDC, stepping into her deep passion for choreography and directing, developing new, exciting work for Queensland’s next generation of dancers.
